BUNNIES ARE SO FLUFFY & CUTE

Bunnies are so fluffy and cute. I wonder why they don’t have a charming purr like a kitty or puppy. I guess bunnies are shy and are busy eating carrots; that makes them the more charming. Bunnies are so fluffy and cute that even a candy brand was made for them to honor their existence. Introducing the White Rabbit Candy, this candy is shaped near a rectangular prism and is warped in white, blue, black, and red with a white rabbit symbol. The White Rabbit Candy is manufactured by Shanghai Guan Sheng Yuan Food, Ltd. The candy is white and has a sweet chewy taste that is addicting. Other than the printed waxed paper wrapper, the candy is warped with an edible thin sheet of paper made from sticky rice from within. The candy is developed by a merchant from Aipixi from Shanghai in 1943. He tasted a milk candy that he thought was pretty decent, so he decided to take the milk candy to another level, the cute and fluffy level. The White Rabbit Candy can be bought at a store with a funny name, Aji Ichiban. I love saying Ichiban. Anyways, Aji Ichiban is located at 37 Mott St, New York, NY 10013. Once again, bunnies are fluffy and cute, so I want a pet bunny.

Sushi Park

Ever wonder if there was a sushi restaurant that has 50% off sushi? LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!!!!!! There is a sushi restaurant in Saint Marks, East 7th street. This place sells a sushi roll or sushi combo for 50% off each. However there is a catch, you must spend at least $15 to get the 50% discount on sushi. If you bought noodles that was $15, you wouldn't get the discount. The discount is only for the sushi. The sushi rolls and sushi combos are pretty small but will fill you up if you order 3 or 4 sushi rolls or 2 sushi combos. The area is medium sized but is always crowded. The sushi itself is pretty good for the deal they are selling it at. However, the wasabi and soy sauce taste kind of funny in my opinion. The wasabi wasn't spicy and the texture was like clay. It wasn't as smooth as it was supposed to be compared to other wasabi that I've tried. You can basically play with it. I would rate this place a 3.5/5. I would recommend to go with friends since this place is pretty fun and is pretty cheap compared to most place. The staff is pretty nice but I've seen better. The tips and taxes are pretty high if you were go with 10+ people. Overall give the place a shot since it is selling SUSHI at a low price!

Reminiscence

Ladies and gents of Baruch, here I bring you a post of great significance, well all my post are, but that’s not the point! Reminiscence, located on 23rd street between fifth and Sixth Avenue. This store is truly amazing, I’ve gone there many times, they are my supplier. And what do they supply me with? Anything I need, when it comes to costumes/ disguises, party stuff (like that fog machine), pranks/ gag stuff, or anything interesting I find in there. It’s a fun store, but for some reason they seem to be closing by the end of this month. I can’t see why, whenever I go there, there are always costumers. Who knows, either way, I know this store has been around for quite some time now. Since 19… something something… before any of us were born. So they’re having a closing end of the month sale. Everything is half off, as if it wasn’t affordable already. So you should all check it out sometime, its real cool. It’s not too far from school, probably 3 or 4 blocks away.  It’s a simple store run by I don’t know who, but it appears to always be the same people.  Also, there’s some stuff there that’s pretty neat, but I can’t mention it for reasons, so just putting that out there. So go take a look, and keep a check for more of my posts.

Franks Pizza Store

Children of the earth, it is I, and I’m here on business. Well technically being here is always on business, but that’s beside the point. Now I’m going to tell you my favorite pizza store, and pretty much favorite place to go for lunch. It’s Frank’s Pizza Store! Located on 23st between Park and Lexington Ave. Its been around for a long time, since 1949 I think. It is also really good, and I mean like really finger licking good. Its got an A for restaurant grade, so you know its legit. Theres a variety of things on the menu… you have to go find
out yourself. Plus the slices are 2 bucks each, so that's that. But cheap doesn’t always mean good. Those
places that have 1 dollar pizzas are not so great. Their pizzas are either small or taste stupid or plain.
Frank's is awesome and has mouth watering food. I should know, I've gone there for a long time. They have nice employees, a family thing or something I’m guessing. It’s a small place, but they have seats, if you
wanna go eat with a few friends it’s all good. So go eat there because its right by the school. And keep
looking out for my posts.

Operation Clean Up

It has come to our attention that the litter & trash left in the cafeteria is getting ridiculous. During my frees I constantly see the lunch ladies cleaning up after YOUR trash. The milk cartons, cereal containers, napkins, etc. that YOU left behind. Yes, it is their job to wipe the tables down so WE will have a clean place to do our work & eat but it isn't part of their job to clean up after students. Everyone should be responsible enough at this age to clean up after themselves. There are trash cans located throughout the cafeteria, it isn't difficult to walk 5 yards and throw your own garbage out.

This also goes for the rest of the school. Having food in the staircases is not only dangerous but disgusting. Who wants to accidentally trip over a pear or slip on spilled milk? With all the food on the floor also comes the pests. In October, two roaches were found on the third floor. There was a roach smashed on a wall near the bathroom and the other was stepped on not so far away. Both were left where they died for everyone to see. Keep in mind that these aren't those tiny roaches that no one notices. No, these roaches were huge in size and full of squishy disgusting guts that ooze out when squished.

That's not even the end of it. Earlier in the school year there was a half eaten pear found in the main staircase (I don't exactly remember what floor). A couple days later the same pear was also found on the first floor of the same staircase.

We are young adults that are grown enough to tell right from wrong. I know that all you litter-ers out there are well aware that it is wrong to leave your left over food and containers all over the cafeteria. If you take the time to look at the green pillars in our cafeteria, you will come to realize that there's a sign there asking all students to clean up after themselves. There's no excuse for leaving a mess behind when we all clearly know that we should not AND there are signs to remind us.
                                     

So if you recognize the trash left of these tables because you were the one that left it there, remember to clean up your mess the next time you have lunch.

DELAYED POST - Blue Devil’s Love for Candy

Blue Devil’s Love for Candy

Legend says that a blue light emits from the windows of Baruch College Campus High School

every midnight. The blue light results from the wandering of the blue devil in the hallways of the school.

Legend also says that the blue devil only exits and wanders outside of the school once a year, which is

on night of Halloween. On that very special night, the blue devil goes treat o’ treating as well, but the

candy he loves is different from the candies we , humans, love, like Kit-Kat, Twix, Skittles, etc. The blue

devil’s favorite one and only candy are kids and teenagers.

Invisible to the human eye, humans can only see the creepy shadow of the blue devil and sense

an intense drop of temperature if happening to be near the blue devil. Anyways, the blue devil looks in

to the eyes of children, and he is able to access a child’s past and sins, because children who are naughty

taste especially delicious. He drags the naughty children to hell and makes chicken noodle soup out of

them; he feeds his pet dog remaining bones. Even if you are a Baruch student, the devil will still make

soup out of you. Happy Halloween!

French Perfection

Words can not even begin to describe how much I enjoy eating macarons. They're usually very colorful which makes them even more appealing to me. They're sweet but not too sweet and the cream or jam center is to die for. It's a little hard to explain the texture but once you bite into one, the shell cracks and melts in your mouth. I believe they taste best chilled. Macarons originated from France which means that they're usually expensive. With a diameter of approximately 1.5 inches, one macaron usually ranges from $1.50 to $3.00 each. I love the colorful burger like treats so much that I prefer them over chocolate on Valentine's day. So if they're expensive but I love them so much, why not make my own? Well, macarons being French perfection isn't the only reason why they're pricey. Making the perfect macaron takes precision, time, and experience. You have to mix the batter a certain way, bake them at a certain temperate at different times, and the detail goes down to even the pan you bake them on. If you haven't tried these, I'm sure you've seen them all over t.v. I know that macarons have been featured on Gossip Girl several times, they're a favorite of Blair Waldorfs.
My favorite flavors? I enjoy them all but if I had to choose, they would be red velvet and raspberry. The sweet shell with the tangy center makes the perfect combo. Plus, it doesn't hurt that they look all fancy.
Macarons are definitely not one of those weird foreign delicacies. Just simply delicious and well worth the money.

Yogurt City: Smile again, friend

I believe people should eat whether they have an appetite, because the health of their bodies holds priority before all. Reality can really strike a person at the core, ruining his/her mood and dragging down his/her appetite. Everyday might not flow well and accordingly, for there will always be disappointment and sadness accompanying happiness and success. A student might fail at achieving his/her ideal score on a test, or a student might feel down after getting scold by a school faculty or belittled by a classmate. Nonetheless, people must feed their stomachs, even if it means eating just a little.   With that said, I would like to recommend Yogurt City. Not as fun and amusing as Disneyland, Yogurt City, or Dessert City, is delicious though. A dessert lover can self-serve and pick his/her favorite yogurt and toppings, ranging from strawberry flavor, chocolate flavor, kiwi, gummy bears, sprinkles, etc. The price is determined by the weight, which is 49 cents a pound. Located in the vicinity of Baruch College Campus High School is a Yogurt City; the address is 61 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10002. Desserts, unlike other food, are always soothing to consume, and the coldness of yogurt can numb a person’s emotions, pulling his/her negative feelings away and igniting a smile. Living a strong life means being able to smile, so eat joyfully and smile again! As a treat, I would gladly join in to feast and smile together, friend.

What are some cheap meals around our Baruch community?

We all know the feeling about Friday’s hour lunch out, but the question is what to eat? What are the cheap, but delicious foods around Baruch? This is the only day that we get to enjoy eating lunch without the feeling of getting rushed, so we want to eat a lot and hangout with friends. A great place is the Halal food cart on the corner of 26th, where the food is delicious, but yet cheap. One of the favorites is chicken over rice, which is a really filling meal, but yet its only 5 dollars, which is considered cheap in the neighborhood. Also, there is a McDonalds on 28th, where most people go on Fridays since it’s too far for other days. It has a variety of foods that you could possibly choose from. Well, there is always the Taza Deli, where we all normally go to but is extremely crowded with most students from Baruch there. Yet, their food is not expensive, such as a grilled cheese for 3 dollars which tastes good considering the price it is sold at. Overall, what we want is cheap food that keeps you full for the rest of the day, but also something that is enjoyable for everyone.

Eat the stress away

With the new school year starting, everything seems dull for those of us who have been in Baruch for a while. You have to be optimistic though--you have to remember that through all of the homework and stress, East has great and fantastic food that will take all of the pain away. It's just a few minutes away from our wondrous school and this Bento is only about 10 to 11 Dollars. It's worth it. Happy Eating--whoops, I mean school year!
