Back to school - SHOES!

School has finally begun and what better way to start off the year than with the right pair of shoes. Think about it, Baruch doesn't allow students to use it's elevators and with five floors that's a lot of walking. Here are some ideas and hopefully you ladies will get some inspiration.

Classic - You can't go wrong with a pair of comfortable oxfords. They're classics and women have been wearing them since the 1800's. These guys are from Aldo! Most oxford laces are waxed which means that they tend to un-tie themselves quite often. If you're into that girly look, replace the laces with matching ribbon and the difference is amazing.

Feminine - Just about everyone owns a pair of flats that they can run around in. These Steve Madden heavenly flats are wildly popular everywhere. Just about everyone owns the patent nude ones. Wanna stand out? Opt for a light gray with is also a great transition color into the fall. (I'm so obsessed with this specific flat that I own four pairs...in different colors)

Practical - Black flats go with just about everything...jeans, skirts, shorts, and the list goes on. Black flats are definitely a staple because it's a universal shoe. Comfortable, practical, and perfect for the mornings when you're rushing to class. You can find these in all colors at DSW, discounted of course.

Trendy - Ankle booties were all the rage last season and who can resist. They're cute and versatile. These suede Chelsey Crew booties can be causal paired with skinnies or girly & flirty paired with a high waisted a-line skirt. The tiny heel gives your feet a comfortable support that will allow you to walk up those flights of stairs all day long.

Comfortable - Converses are definitely comfort to the max. Let's face it, we all own a pair and they will forever be classics. On gym days, rainy days, and just plain bummy days throw these own with a pair of jeans and you're set.

Causal - Toms are definitely "hype" right now. Although everyone probably has a pair...or two don't be afraid to throw them on! We all know they're super comfortable and the best thing about it: you can wear them both with socks and sock-less. Not only do they come in every color possible (along with the classic colors, they also have glitter and neons!), but when you buy a pair of Toms a pair gets donated to a child in need. Good for the fall days when it's a tad too chilly to wear flats. As you can see, I wore mine to death.

Of course, you can always wear what you want. Some like to throw on a pair of heels for the glamour while others are more laid back. No matter what your style may be, it's all good as long as it reflects you. I hoped everyone started the school year on the right foot...no pun intended. (:
