Hurricane Sandy vs. NYC

As all of you already know, school is cancelled Monday due to Hurricane Sandy. Being students in NYC, we usually don't have to deal with things like hurricanes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters. However, they're warning us that this time might be different. So as we crack our jokes about how we're all going to party through the hurricane, remember to stay safe! There are mandatory evacuations in certain zones which is a sign that means Hurricane Sandy could really cause a mess. Remember to stay away from windows if you live in high rise apartments and make sure that your drains are clear of leaves for the ones who live in houses. As we enjoy a day off of school and sleep in on a Monday I hope everyone is well!
Also remember that public transportation is cut off! Most of you probably are already aware but remember to stay indoors. And as we get through another hurricane (hopefully safely), lets share our experiences and stories after the worst is over!
